The Model R automatic sampler is designed to provide fully automatic sampling of powders and granules from hoppers and both pneumatic and gravity conveying lines.
The sampler features an aluminium body with a 316 stainless steel sampling tube and polyethylene seals. Operation is entirely pneumatic and manufactured to VDMA standards, making the unit explosion-proof.
Sampling is initiated by a signal from the controller, which extends the sampling tube into the material flow while an air-driven auger motor operates simultaneously. The tube remains extended for a preset time, allowing continuous collection of product.
Once the preset time is reached, the tube retracts from the conveying line while the motor continues to run, purging any remaining product from the tube. This ensures each sample is a true and accurate representation of the process material. When retracted, the unit presents no obstruction to product flow and remains fully sealed.
