The Model D automatic sampler is a pneumatically operated unit designed to provide representative samples of powders and granules from hoppers, chutes, and similar locations.
The aluminium alloy body and spool are electroless nickel plated to improve abrasion and corrosion resistance. Combined with PTFE seals, this allows the sampler to be used with a wide range of materials.
Operation is provided by a pneumatic cylinder controlled by a standard 5/2 single solenoid valve.
During sampling, the pneumatic cylinder extends the spool into the product stream. The spool fills with product (approximately 0.2 litres) and retracts, allowing the sample to discharge under gravity to the collection point.
A double-seal arrangement ensures the sample catchment area remains fully isolated from the collection point, providing reliable dust-tight and airtight operation.
